Service for different industry like: solar energy storage system (ESS),RV, marine, boat, golf cart, AGV robot, EV Battery, Motorcycle and electronic bike battery, forklift battery and electric tricycle battery and 5G base station LiFePo4 battery. OSM Battery now is one of major lithium battery pack manufacturers.

What a custom ESS battery actually means
“Customised” is not a marketing label — it describes a pack built to a specification that no catalogue model matches. The usual axes of customisation for a high voltage ESS battery are:
| Parameter | Typical options |
|---|---|
| System voltage | 96 V, 192 V, 384 V, 512 V, 614 V, 768 V |
| Capacity per rack | 50 Ah to 280 Ah |
| Module energy | 5 kWh to 15 kWh per module, stacked to the target |
| Chemistry | LiFePO4 standard; NMC on request |
| BMS protocol | CAN, RS485 / Modbus, RS232; mapped to the client inverter |
| Enclosure | Rack cabinet, brick module, container |
| Communication | Matched to the customer’s inverter brand for closed-loop control |
The reason customisation matters is interoperability: a battery is only as useful as its ability to talk to the inverter and the site load it was bought for.
512V 100Ah 50kWh: how the pack is built
A 512 V system is 160 LiFePO4 cells in series (160 × 3.2 V = 512 V). Multiplying by 100 Ah gives about 51 kWh of nameplate energy. Because the string is long, the pack is not a single board but a tiered architecture: cell-monitoring BMUs inside each module, and a master BMS supervising them and reporting to the inverter over CAN. The tiers, the contactors and the insulation monitoring that a 512 V pack requires are described in how high voltage battery systems work.
When to choose a custom high voltage pack over 48 V
- Power above ~20 kW. High voltage cuts the current for the same power and with it the I²R losses; see the 768 V industrial case study for a worked example.
- Long cable runs. Lower current means thinner, cheaper DC cabling between the battery room and the PCS.
- Fixed voltage interface. When the site inverter expects a specific DC bus voltage, the pack must match it exactly.
- Future expansion. A modular rack design lets capacity grow without replacing the installed modules.
Below those thresholds a 48 V system is simpler and cheaper; the architecture is set out in BMS architecture for high voltage batteries.
Applications for 50 kWh high voltage storage
- Commercial and industrial peak shaving and demand-charge management
- Telecom and data-centre backup at rack scale
- Microgrids and weak-grid support
- Solar self-consumption for factories and large villas
Custom ESS FAQs
Can you build a battery to a specific voltage and capacity?
Yes. Series count sets the voltage and parallel count sets the amp-hours, so almost any combination above the minimum module size can be assembled, including 512 V and 768 V classes.
How long does a custom battery take to deliver?
Custom builds add engineering and testing time before production. The schedule depends on the cell format, the BMS map and the certification the destination market requires.
Will the battery work with my inverter?
It will if the BMS communication is mapped to that inverter’s protocol. Send us the inverter model and we will match the CAN or RS485 profile.
Need a quote? Send your voltage, capacity, inverter model and certification requirements and we will spec a custom high voltage ESS pack — factory-direct, no obligation.
