LiFePO4 Battery: overview
The OSM LiFePO4 Battery is a built to order prismatic LiFePO4 cell. It is engineered for home and commercial energy storage, off-grid solar, telecom backup and DIY pack builds.
LiFePO4 (lithium iron phosphate) chemistry is the reference choice for this duty because it is thermally stable, keeps a flat voltage curve across most of the discharge, and tolerates daily deep cycling without the capacity walk-down that lead-acid suffers. Every cell is Grade A, brand new and carries an intact QR code, and each batch is capacity-, voltage- and internal-resistance matched before dispatch — that matching is what keeps a large pack in balance in service. Cells ship with busbars and bolts, and the batch test report is available on request.

OEM and ODM customization
Beyond the standard configuration, OSM builds to order: enclosure colour and branding, nameplate and label artwork, packaging, cable and connector sets, communication protocol selection and matched charger or inverter bundles. Send the target specification and the artwork, and the engineering team returns a drawing and a quotation.
Frequently asked questions
Are the cells matched before they ship?
Yes. Capacity, voltage and internal resistance are measured and the cells are grouped into matched sets before dispatch. A matched set needs far less balancing current in service and holds its capacity spread much longer than a randomly binned assembly.
What BMS and busbars do I need for a pack?
That depends on the string you are building — 16 cells in series give a 51.2 V string, 8S gives 25.6 V and 4S gives 12.8 V. Tell us the target voltage, the continuous current and the chemistry of the BMS you plan to use, and we will confirm the busbar, bolt and torque spec with the quotation.
Do the cells come with busbars and bolts?
Yes, the matched set ships with busbars and bolts so the pack can be assembled on arrival. Terminal type, busbar material and the bolt torque spec are confirmed on the order, and customised busbar lengths are available for non-standard layouts.
How are cells shipped and what documents are included?
Cells ship as Class 9 dangerous goods with the UN38.3 test summary, the MSDS and the transport documents, packed on pallets for sea or air freight. Bulk orders are consolidated so the container is loaded to suit your warehouse.
Do you supply samples and OEM branding?
Yes. OSM supplies single units and samples, and offers OEM/ODM on the enclosure, the label, the nameplate and the packaging. Send the artwork and the target specification and we will return a quotation with the lead time.
