Project Description

What is a solar battery

A solar cell, also known as “solar chip” or “photovoltaic cell”, is an optoelectronics’ semiconductor sheet that uses sunlight to generate electricity directly. As long as it is illuminated by light that meets certain illumination conditions, it can instantly output voltage and generate current when there is a loop. In physics, it is called solar photovoltaic (PV), or photovoltaic for short.

Solar Photovoltaic System Cell Manufacturing

The raw material is the second most abundant quartz (sand). Quartz is a widely distributed mineral. It comes in many varieties and is mainly composed of silicon dioxide (SiO2) with small amounts of impurities such as lithium, sodium, potassium and titanium.
The process of making solar cells from silicon wafers involves three types of industries
a.) Industries producing solar cells from quartz
b.) Industries producing silicon wafers from quartz and silicon wafers
c.) Industries producing solar cells from silicon wafers

How does a solar photovoltaic system work?

We’ve all seen solar panels on the roofs of our houses, but how is electricity generated?

The first step begins when sunlight hits a solar panel, or photovoltaic panel. Solar cells within a solar panel absorb energy and generate direct current (DC).
Wiring and circuits connected to the solar panels collect the direct current and convert it to alternating current (AC) through an inverter. The AC power is then passed to the existing fuse box in your home and the energy is distributed throughout the home to power all your appliances. Additionally, any electricity not used to power your home can often be sent to the grid (operated by a utility company) or to charge batteries as backup power.
Most households use 48V energy storage systems, which have 100Ah, 200Ah, and 300Ah to store electricity. The energy storage battery OSM battery company currently provides 5KWH, 10KWH, wall-mounted and stacked styles of energy walls. Such products are very suitable for the needs of household energy storage.

How many types of photovoltaic cells are there?

Currently, there are many types of photovoltaic cells. Many of these vary by composition or nature.
Since the input energy of solar photovoltaic power generation is extremely unstable, it is generally necessary to configure a battery system to work. At present, there are mainly the following types of solar cells: monocrystalline silicon cells, poly crystalline silicon solar cells and poly crystalline silicon thin film solar cells.

Below, we will compare poly crystalline silicon photovoltaic cells and crystalline silicon cells.
Polysilicon: The performance of poly crystalline silicon cells is very good, but slightly lower than that of crystalline silicon, which is very noticeable in low light. These stand out because they are less expensive than crystalline silicon.
Crystalline Silicon: These batteries are much more expensive than the ones mentioned above, which means their use is less common. While it’s more expensive, so is its performance and quality.
